How a low-pressure tube works

A low-pressure tube is a containment and control system, not a simple shell. Design must make pressure, deformation, joints, access and emergency procedures measurable.

1. Design the section

Define diameter, loads, tolerances, materials, supports and vehicle interfaces. The section must include technical access, evacuation routes and inspection systems.

2. Manage pressure

Pumping is managed in zones and must account for leakage, temperature, contamination and recovery time. Independent sensors and alarm thresholds make behaviour observable.

3. Verify before operation

Testing includes tightness, load, vibration, fire, power loss, braking and rescue. Progression should move from components and subsystems to a representative section.
