Reducing air pressure lowers aerodynamic drag at high speed. The tube is not transparent: it is an opaque industrial structure with joints, seals, access points, services and verifiable evacuation systems.
Levitation, Führung und Antrieb
A vehicle may use wheels, air bearings or magnetic levitation during different operating phases. Guidance keeps the vehicle in the correct position, while a linear motor transfers energy along the route. The choices depend on speed, capacity, cost and route conditions.
Sicherheit ist ein System
Safety is not demonstrated by a prototype’s top speed. It requires hazard analysis, redundancy, leak detection, communications, braking, emergency access and progressive tests on representative infrastructure.
- tube integrity and pressure management
- traffic control and separation
- evacuation and rescue
- electromagnetic compatibility and cyber security
